Driving Tip: How To U Turn

Making a U turn in a car is not difficult, however, as a beginner, the entire process tends to be a little jerky. This is mainly because many driving students in Singapore or otherwise let go of the clutch pedal too quickly. There are driving students who let go too slowly and cause the car to be jerky too in an indirect way. When they consistently let go too slowly, they take too long to even reach the biting point, at some point in time they get impatient and start to let go of it too quickly and that’s when all the jerking happens during driving a manual transmission car.

When first learning to make a proper U turn, it was easier than I thought turning – the hard part came when I had to turn back the steering wheels smoothly back to the original position.

This is because sometimes I either turned too slow and accelerated too much which resulted me into entering the ‘wrong’ lane or because I turned too fast and jerked the car. It is a healthy balance when you want to U-turn the car.

Another driving mistake some people make which has been noticed by many private driving instructors friends of mine in Singapore is that they simply move too far left into the left side lane before they even turn their steering wheel. Keep in mind, you should only keep slightly to the left of your rightmost lane before performing a u turn maneuver. Don’t go crazy when driving and enter into someone else’s lane and cause potential driving hazards.

There are a lot of but there are only a few who are really experienced and good quality. It is important that you find a good driving instructor to teach you how to drive in Singapore!
